Free Trees Available!
Dubuque’s Branching Out initiative is taking root with a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Forest Service to plant over 5,000 trees throughout the community.
New in 2026, eligibility is open city-wide to homeowners and renters with low-to-moderate incomes. Residents of all income levels who live in the Branching Out eligibility areas also qualify!
Youth Climate Action Fund Microgrants Available!
Applications are now open for microgrants of up to $5,000 to support climate action projects done by youth through Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Youth Climate Action Fund (YCAF).
These grants are open to Dubuque youth ages 15–24 years old, and projects must align with Dubuque’s “50% by 2030 Climate Action Plan.” Applications can be submitted online through Oct. 9.
